Christchurch Catholic Cathedral after the quake

Christchurch I can’t imagine what the city must look like. The most poignant moment on the news tonight was when a journo was taken on the police bus and the camera caught some of the city streets that I had walked on. Everything was eerie—‘war zone’ does not describe it. That scene where Adrian Brody in The Pianist and all he can see are the deserted remains of his city? That’s what it looked like—a mix between a war zone, a devastating apocalypse, and a scene from The Quiet Earth or I Am Legend.
