CI5: the New Professionals trailer ‘If it wasn’t on the news, CI5 took care of it last night.’ Oh dear.
Nobody Does It Better A 1998 documentary on the music of James Bond—Monty Norman, John Barry, Don Black, George Hamilton, and David Arnold are interviewed.
Needed What are the odds that The Avengers would have been immensely better on the big screen if Keeley Hawes had the lead and Uma Thurman had a bit-part?
Ralph Fiennes as John Steed I know most people disliked The Avengers movie, but it really wasn’t that bad. (Via pop-sesivo.)
The Avengers on the big screen I didn’t think it sucked anywhere nearly as badly as people made out, and the Joel McNeely score is wonderful.
Sean Connery’s “Fuck You” To Steve Jobs
Okay, I’m not entirely convinced this is legit even though this site says it is and part of a book about Macs coming out later this year, but I’m posting it anyways because “I am fucking James Bond” is the new “I’m the goddamn Batman”.

You’re the man now, dog Looks like BS to me, and it has come from a parody site. Apart from the fact that the site is filled with parody (e.g. Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered designer Jonny Ives), and the book is a parody, many other signs are present.
I know Sir Sean talks like this, but why would (a) his PA write in an American style, assuming he is based in France (in which case it’s odd that the country in the header is omitted, and ‘Best’ is not a normal closing for a Scot, nor are some of the other Americanisms in punctuation and style); (b) they use what appears to be an ancient typewriter, even by 1990s’ standards (you know, Finding Forrester was fiction)—remember, Sir Sean has a lot of holdings worldwide, including New Zealand radio stations, so he has quite an efficient office; (c) the ancient typewriter actually have proportional spacing—ones that did by the 1990s had much better printing than this, and the various characters are too regular in their anachronisms (spot the darker e); (d) he have the 007 logo on the page without some trade mark acknowledgement if it is written from the US, which is an incredibly litigious country—or, considering he’s been trying to get away from the role since 1983, why would he even feature it?
If I can tell you the exact cut of Linotype Times on the Dan Rather Memogate documents (and was asked about them at the time), I can also say the above is not typical of 1998.
