Adam-2 I know, GM has been doing this for years, but I still find it fascinating. I would guess the Opel pic was the original, as it’s easier removing a fuel filler cap than putting one on in photo-editing.

Spark plug When I see this ad, I just think: buy a Daewoo Matiz, watch your world fall apart.
That’ll be the Daewoo Finding it rather appropriate that of all the pages a Holden ad would show up on Autocade, it’s this one. And it’s selling all the ex-Daewoo models, such as Matiz, Lacetti and Winstorm (Spark, Cruze and Captiva), as well as the Holden version of the Chevrolet Aveo, the Barina.

Complete with beak I wonder who to blame for American cars getting so damned ugly at the turn of the 1970s. I think Bunkie Knudsen deserves some of it, with his idea of what GM was doing at the time brought over to Ford—and uglifying Henry’s cars in the process.
