The future, as seen in the 1980s I remember these ItalDesign show cars (Asgard, Aspid, Aztec)—and the controversial “service panels” on the side. (The original idea was for the cars to have an Audi V8 and parts of those engines sticking out—but when it failed to materialize, Giugiaro made to come up with Plan B using the Audi turbocharged ﬁve. They still strike me as being compromised, 25 years later.)
