Farewell to a favourite This was sad news that we broke yesterday. Isn’t it strange that the headline gets more and more extreme the later it’s reported?
Wellington isn’t dying—John Key flew into Wellington Airport and misinterpreted what ‘Wellington Terminal’ meant.
‘Is Wellington “dying”?’ Prime Minister John Key says that Wellington is ‘dying’. Rather than just make assumptions, how about he engages the public to find out our real situation? Earlier today, I walked the talk and asked four Wellington business owners just what they thought of the PM’s comment. Andy Boreham filmed this video, with Hamish McConnochie having come up with the concept.
Conclusion: we’re not dying, and we have a great opportunity to put Wellington in the right direction this election year.

Got the blues about leaving on a jet plane Waiting at Wellington Airport—taken on a cellphone but with the white balance set incorrectly to give this effect.
What happens if you press the button? If the lifts don’t operate after store hours, what point is there to pressing ‘level 7’ outside store hours?
‘Wait 2 mins for censor to Flush’ This is a bit creepy, at the Grey Street public toilet in Wellington. Apparently, once you put the seat down, Dr Andrew Jack from the Office of Film and Literature Classification comes after two minutes to flush your toilet. I did not wait to find out if that was the case.
