Peter Cushing on why his Doctor Who could have been canon
- Q: The character you played in those two films was very different from the character on the TV show. Were those films a complete remake?
- A: Well I’ll tell you something I thought once. I just said I didn’t watch TV, but one of the few episodes of the ‘Dr. Who’ series that I saw was one that involved a kind of mystical clown, and I realised that perhaps he kidnapped Dr Who and wiped his memory and made him relive some of his earlier adventures. When Bill Hartnell turned into Patrick Troughton, and changed his appearance, that idea seemed more likely. I think that’s what happened, so I think those films we did fit perfectly well into the TV series. That would not have been the case had I taken the role in the TV series.

This would have been AMAZING if it were to really happen.
This is beautiful.
This may be the best thing I have seen on the Internet in years. Whomever did this deserves a medal. Bresslaw as Colossus and Williams as Magneto is a stroke of genius.
Carry on X-Men The typography isn’t perfect but top marks for everything else. This is brilliant on so many levels.

Bienvenue chez Cauet Cauet interviews Bradley Cooper during the French promos for The Hangover Part 2 (VF: Very Bad Trip 2). Doing an interview in French doesn’t look that hard.
‘Pixarification’ Great points here from director Danny Boyle. Where are films such as The French Connection these days, that push the envelope and have adult (not porn) themes? Answer: cable TV.

Vader’s Little Princess Even 36 years on, it’s still Star Wars, nothing but Star Wars.

If you want to save yourself the ticket price, go into the kitchen, cue up a male choir singing the music of hell, and get a kid to start banging pots and pans together. Then close your eyes and use your imagination.
Remember those old Mister Magoo cartoons where the doddery old bald guy would blunder around various locations, leaving chaos in his wake while constantly insisting ‘I’m on vacation’?
