The Oxford English Dictionary accepts both pronunciations. They are wrong. It is a soft g, pronounced jif. End of story.

There is nothing wrong with political correctness, because it encourages free speech from those who would otherwise be marginalized. Getting rid of sexist and homophobic words could go a long, long way to empowering every sector of society.

Thank goodness: a Mediawiki user who writes in English, not technobabble
I want to thank the people contributing to this page about Mediawiki and Dynamic Page List for writing in English. I had been through so many pages on this very subject for hours and they were all written in computerese. Glycerine102, whomever you are, thank you—all one needed to do was add the line as you had written it.
The official manuals all listed $allowUnlimitedResults = true; or some variant thereof without mentioning that you had to put ExtDynamicPageList:: in front of commands for this. For those of us who don’t know much about computers, it would have been wise to mention this.
The two random entries on the Autocade home page no longer start with the letters A through D only: they are now taken from throughout the database.
‘Wait 2 mins for censor to Flush’ This is a bit creepy, at the Grey Street public toilet in Wellington. Apparently, once you put the seat down, Dr Andrew Jack from the Office of Film and Literature Classification comes after two minutes to flush your toilet. I did not wait to find out if that was the case.

OHMS I decided to tag a Buckingham Palace pin OHMS tonight. I see a few images there referring to ohms, which is understandable, but what on earth are the other photographs about? Does OHMS mean something different in American English?
