How much paper does a person use on average in a year?
In Belgium paper consumption is pushed up by the EU bureaucracy in Brussels, which must produce its documentation in an array of different languages.
More reason to be digital I wonder how we Kiwis fare on this scale. I would guess we are on the lower end, given how expensive books are here.
My beloved fantail goldfish, Fishy, is very very sick. :(
He appears to have dropsy and possibly even nitrate poisoning. If anyone has dealt with this before and has any tips please let me know! I’m currently doing a slow water change (5% every half an hour) and he’s had tonic salt in the bowl for the last two days. The red belly doesn’t appear to be a symptom of dropsy which is why I thought maybe it was nitrate poisoning as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated, or even just send good thoughts. I will be devastated if I lose him. :( He’s 6 years old and my only fish.
Passing on the query Can anyone help this goldfish owner on Tumblr as to what might be wrong?

Iceberg in Newfoundland
This is an iceberg that broke off of Greenland is now, a year later, showing up off the shore of Newfoundland. WHAT THE. It’s four times the size of Manhattan. It looks so out of place!

While I acknowledge there’s climate change, without knowing the scale of the map, I’m pretty sure Manhattan’s bigger than what I can make out in the first photo. Ever looked back across the Hudson from Brooklyn?
Stuff the Ipad, this is my pad It’s easy being green.
